XM SATELLITE RADIO TO BROADCAST FIFA® WORLD CUP GERMANY 2006 SOCCER TEAM DRAW LIVE ON DECEMBER 9

U.S. Soccer Great Alexi Lalas and Legendary Soccer Commentator Andres Cantor to Host XM's Exclusive Satellite Radio Coverage in English and Spanish

Washington D.C., December 07, 2005 -- XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR), the nation's leading satellite radio service with more than 5 million subscribers, announced today that it will broadcast the FIFA® World Cup Germany 2006 Soccer team draw live from Germany on Friday, December 9. XM's coverage of the World Cup draw will air in English on XM LIVE (XM Channel 200) at 2:30 p.m. ET, with repeat broadcasts through out the day. XM also will broadcast Spanish-language coverage of the World Cup draw, hosted by legendary soccer commentator and XM on-air personality, on XM's 24-hour Spanish-language sports channel XM Deportivo (XM Channel 147) at 2:30 p.m. ET.

U.S. soccer veteran Alexi Lalas will join the XM team during the World Cup selection to provide commentary throughout the broadcast. A former soccer defender, Lalas became one of the most famous soccer players in the United States after his play in the 1994 World Cup. A global soccer veteran, Lalas has played soccer professionally around the world and in U.S. with various Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. He is currently the President and GM of the MetroStars of MLS.

As the official satellite radio network for the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 Soccer tournament, XM has rights to broadcast play-by-play of all 64 tournament matches in both English and Spanish. The Spanish play-by-play coverage will be featured on XM Deportivo. The English-language coverage of World Cup matches will air on a separate channel.

Snoop To Oversee XM's Classic Hip Hop Channel In Addition To Hosting His Exclusive XM Music Show

Washington D.C., December 08, 2005 -- XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR), the nation's leading satellite radio service with more than 5 million subscribers, has named multi-platinum recording artist Snoop Dogg as executive producer of XM's classic hip-hop channel The Rhyme (XM Channel 65), current home of Snoop's popular radio show "Welcome to Da Chuuch With Big Snoop Dogg," available exclusively on XM Satellite Radio.

"I am truly excited about being able to have total control over the music and programming for The Rhyme on XM. I will play music that people have never heard and music that they haven't heard in a long time," said Snoop Dogg. "We need more Snoop Dogg music all the time because the music I play makes people feel good. Consider yourself a part of this new Snoop Dogg eargasm."

As executive producer, Snoop will provide the creative direction for the channel and assist in the development of new exclusive programming for The Rhyme, as well as other channels. In addition to serving as executive producer, Snoop will continue to host "Welcome to Da Chuuch" on The Rhyme, which debuted on XM in December 2004. Beginning in early 2006, "Welcome to Da Chuuch" will return for a new season on The Rhyme with new episodes airing each week.

Nearly 1.4 million votes were cast by music fans nationwide for nominated artists and categories selected by XM's programming staff in categories range from "Best Pop Sing-A-Long" to "Dream Duet" to "Artist Most Overlooked By FM Radio."
"This year's XM Nation Award winners really reflect the diversity among the music universe that XM brings to music fans," said Eric Logan, XM's executive vice president of programming.
