American Honda to Equip Over 550,000 Vehicles With XM Satellite Radio for 2006

WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio(Nasdaq: XMSR), the nation's leading provider of satellite radio with over 5million subscribers, today announced that American Honda Motor, one of theworld's most successful automotive brands, will factory-install over 550,000of its 2006 vehicles with XM Satellite Radio. That means a record number ofHonda and Acura brand passenger cars and trucks will arrive at dealershowrooms able to deliver more than 150 XM channels of commercial-free musicand a wide variety of news, sports, talk, traffic, weather and entertainmentprogramming.

For the first time ever, XM is now factory-installed on the all-new 2006Honda Civic, one of the best-selling model lines in the U.S., and the award-winning 2006 Honda Pilot sport-utility vehicle. The following Honda modelsalso include XM Satellite Radio as a factory-installed feature for the 2006model year: Honda Accord, Honda Accord Hybrid, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey,Honda Element, and Honda Ridgeline.

XM Satellite Radio is a standard factory-installed feature on all AcuraRL, Acura TL, Acura TSX and Acura MDX models.
